CHAPTER 16

“I asked you a question Regan, where have you been?”

How the hell did Sam get back into the house?

“I can’t exactly answer when you are cutting off my air supply. Can you remove some of the pressure from my back, Asshat, and maybe get my face off the door?”

“Not yet, Regan, I need some answers first.”

“Get in line.”

“You poor thing, has your Gram been pressuring you to join her people? What a waste of time if you ask me.”

“I don’t recall asking you, Sam. Get off me before I scream.”

“Scream all you want, Sweetie; I have had our room spelled since we started dating. It is completely soundproof. It also keeps those damn Druids unaware of my presence here.”

“Damn it, it’s not our room. How did you even get in here?”

“Did I not give you enough of a demonstration the other night? I could always enter the Otherworld through a dream state, but Agrona has been kind enough to gift me with her ability of dimensional travel. I can come and go as I please. In the event I want to talk to you, I just picture our room and…poof… here I am. So Sweetie, here we both are and I have some things I’d like to talk to you about.”

“Just get off me and I will talk to you. I can’t answer your questions like this.”

If he turns me around just a little, I’m going to spit in his damn face.

“I will, but not before you answer one little question I have for you, Regan”

Regan tried to pull her face, which he still pressed firmly to the door, off the wood in order to relieve some of the pressure, but with every effort came more force from Sam’s forearm. “Just ask me the question,” she squeezed through her teeth.

“Where did you sleep last night, Regan?”

Oh shit, I know where this is going.

“Why?”

“Let’s just say it’s important to me, Honey.”

“Don’t you dare call me that, only Gram can call me that, besides, it’s not that big of a deal. I slept in my parent’s room so there was no reminder of you. Now let me go.” Regan tried again to move her arms, kick her legs back, twist her body any which way, but she just couldn’t get free of Sam’s hold.

“Well, it is a big deal because I know you didn’t sleep alone. I don’t like sharing, Regan, and it really hurts my feelings that it has been less than forty-eight hours and you are already sharing a bed with someone else. It’s going to be hard to keep you at my side if you are going to be demonstrating such slutty behavior.”

“Isn’t that the pot calling the kettle black, Jackass? Because I could have sworn just yesterday, you were groping two girls in public. So how about you get the fuck off of me, NOW!”

“Temper, Honey.” Sam released Regan and she immediately tried for the door handle to get out of the room, but missed it by a hair.
